I was walking into R.E.I today...

and got to the front door at the same time as a large group of guys who were more than happy to let me hold the door open for them. ALL of them.

Get a good sleeping bag, guys. It must be cold in that woman-less cave you live in.

I'm sure, being that you were at REI, they didn't want to make you feel a "weaker vessel" and all.

Think of it as thoughtfulness, possibly, really.
